Celebrity Parody

There are two different styles of parody. The first is called satire and the second is called parody. Whether the subject is a celebrity or a non-celebrity, both types are often entertaining, and the art of parody has a long history. Parody is a form of popular culture that has existed before the tabloids and paparazzi. In fact, society has always enjoyed the caricatures of prominent political and cultural figures, and the development of online parody is a response to this archaic desire to mock high society. In addition to the media, celebrities have to cultivate a persona outside of their work, including a 'brand' that separates them from the rest of us.

Another popular type of parody is the impersonation of a celebrity by characters. For example, Ke$ha's TikTok video, created by The Key of Awesome, mocks Ke$ha's party girl behavior. As the genre grew, the jokes in parody videos became meaner, and it became acceptable to mock the personal life and real personality of the celebrities featured in parody videos. Ultimately, these videos are a form of satire, but there are many nuances of parody and it is not always obvious which style is appropriate for each particular work.

The Simpsons has many parodies of celebrities. However, they are very different from the actual celebrities who make cameo appearances in the show. In one episode, Rush Limbaugh is compared to a right-wing radio commentator from "Sideshow Bob Roberts." Another episode features Robert Frost, whose face is melted in snow by Krusty. Throughout the entire season, the Simpsons have made many references to politics. In a recent episode titled "The Deficit Rag" (Since of the Economy), the characters play various variations of the Trading Gap Shuffle.

For example, in a recent episode, Gal Gadot plays the iconic superhero Gal in a parody of John Lennon's "Imagine." This episode features a who's-who of comedy all-stars, including Mila Kunis, Josh Gad, Elizabeth Banks, Aisha Tyler, Kumail Nanjiani, and Patton Oswalt. The show's stars are a testament to its quality.

Twitter is a popular platform for parody artists to mock celebrities. However, parody accounts often violate the rules of the social networking site. Some of them have been suspended by Twitter for stealing jokes and slapping their famous faces on tweets. One such account, @ozchrisrock, was suspended by the social media platform for a number of reasons, including plagiarism, nondisclosure, and solicitation. The social media giant does not publicly comment on the reasons for the suspension. A quip from an account called @BiIIMurray ended up on a Tumblr user's page.
